Figure 8/Demo Derby

I no longer have an interest in wasting cars in regular demo derbys. However if anyone would ever host a figure 8 demolition race somewhere with in an hour or two of Missoula I will run in it (as long as I don't have a schedule conflict). I am pretty much retired from regular derbys. People are paying $1000 for decent derby cars now, because they are so hard to come by. $1000 for a derby car, I couldn't think of a better way to waste money. However in figure 8 racing almost any car can be competitive, not just the Imperials and Impalas. I won a figure 8 in a Olds 88 that I picked up for $50, when is the last time you saw an $50 Olds 88 win a regular derby? Also figure 8's are not as hard on the cars, you can get more events out of them. Plus figure 8's are more exciting to drive in and from what I hear the crowd likes them as well. We just need promoters to stick with them so the drivers and fans can get used to them and anticipate them as regular occurrences.
